On-time uses the slower end of what trains actually did, so the journey still works on a bad day.
Affects walks to the station, between platforms and at changes.
Ranking only: a change has to save this much to be worth it. It is not added to the times shown.
Real time added to the journey at every change — unlike the change penalty, which only affects ranking.
How much of the gap between trains to charge as waiting when there is no live departure.
On by default, ranked below rail (see Bus preference). With this on, a bus area (about 0.4 MB) is downloaded for each end of the journey, and routes may ride a bus. Bus timings are mostly estimated from distance until enough has been observed — each bus leg says so. Untick it for a rail-only planner; stored bus areas stay on the device but are not used.
Ranking only. “Avoid” charges a bus 10 min on top of the change penalty, so a bus only wins when it clearly saves time; “Neutral” treats it like any other line; “Prefer” takes 3 min off. Estimated bus timings are always weighted up by 10–25% until observed.
The core model is always downloaded. A tile is a National Rail timetable outside inner London — a London corridor or a region of Great Britain; one is fetched anyway the moment you plan a journey that needs it.
Only used by a 📍 origin or destination.
